Testimonials & Feedback

Please feel free to explore the testimonials below, and share in the happy relocation experiences of past and current Rockstone Executive Relocation Services’ clients.

“When we first arrived in South Africa, it was quite daunting to get used to how things work here. That, together with my belief in the ‘power of now’ drives me to ensure smooth landings for executive families.”
- Marie Hélène Wood, Rockstone Founder

Angelique Nicolaides

Office Administrator, Danone Southern Africa

Rockstone is the support mechanism behind Danone Southern Africa’s executive relocation. They make our people and their families feel more comfortable and are well equipped to pick up on all of the ‘abcs’ that come with an executive expatriate assignment.

Following an orientation expedition with Marie Hélène and her team, our expats come back well informed, with a particularly good idea of what to expect from an assignment in South Africa.

Rockstone are always very effective in their support of our South African executive team as well as our expatriates. They assist us extensively.

Rockstone is very good at giving us feedback. They are exceptionally thorough in their follow-ups during check in and check out. They are our eyes, not only doing the on-the-ground work but in acting as an intermediary between our local team and expatriates.

Etienne van Wyk

HR Manager CSS, Lafarge Industries South Africa

Rockstone is very professional in how they assist Lafarge in settling expats on their arrival in South Africa. They deal effectively and efficiently on all bases of executive relocation, whether they are addressing schooling or accommodation.

Rockstone provide our executives taking up assignments overseas with inter-cultural training. This training has been very valuable in guiding our people in terms of what to do and what not to do within different cultural environments.

Marie Hélène and her team usually go out of their way to deliver personalised service to our new expats. They even ensure that they settle into the new community, going so far as to introduce them within specific community and social environments.

The Rockstone team is always prompting us and letting us know what they are doing. We regularly receive very good feedback from our expats about their engagement with Marie Hélène and her team.

Quote from Joy

"Rockstone know that it is the little things that make our daily life easier. Marie Helene and her team facilitated us getting into the South African way of life. We took two trips prior to moving here from Switzerland. The first was a 'look and see' trip. Marie Helene did a very good job in convincing us to relocate. She and her team organised a few houses for us to see, to get an idea of what to expect and showed us around. We also went to see some stables on this trip. I am a Grand Prix dressage competitor so organising stabling for our horses that we brought over with us was very important in our decision making process. Rockstone also gave us an idea on how to get around and we looked at schools. When we arrived here, I was heavily pregnant with our second child. Marie Helene even supported us by researching different maternity units at different hospitals. So on arrival in the country I did not have to worry about choosing a maternity unit and my appointments with my doctor of choice were already made. Marie also helped us arrange help in our home, including providing me with a working contract and necessary documentation; facilitating the administrative work for me. Furnishing our home was so much easier with Rockstone's help. If we had a specific idea, they would take us to relevant places. That helped us get everything we wanted as quickly as possible."

Quote from Christelle

"We had not ever lived in South Africa. Marie Helene Wood is fantastic. Working with her was extremely helpful for us. She is very professional and made our move easy. I can recommend her to any family going through their first expatriation move."
