Animal Relocation & Care

Relocating your pet to South Africa is a pretty straightforward and uncomplicated task, if you are well prepared and have the right information. We will guide you along every step of the way to ensure you are properly prepared to relocate your pet successfully.

Animal veterinary care is an almost completely privately funded exercise in South Africa. Recently however, we have seen the introduction of ‘pet medical aids’ into the arena.

Veterinarians are frequently found in both urban and rural areas, and fees can range from inexpensive to very costly, sometimes rivaling human medical costs for similar conditions.

South Africa, and its local SPCA – the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – strongly advocate that animals be neutered as soon as they’re old enough. It can be a requirement of the animal relocation permit that animals be sterilised.
